Scott Buck with a chat with EW said that they knew from the start of season seven about how Laguarta was going to be murdered by Deb.

He further talked about Warrants which are still there lying on Laguerta's desk which were not filed.

Scott said that in season eight will put more light on Dexter's origin, risk and his human side.

He said that he would be very interested to have the actress Yvonne Strahovski aka Hannah back in the series.

Deb will be seen in a different mental state and she will have a unique bond with Dexter.

Dexter will be faced by new enemies who will cause trouble for him.

He stated that Dexter will not have a happy ending as serial killer stories can be ended in so many ways but none of them can have happy endings.

He summed up in the end that it is still unsure whether Season 8 is going to be the last season of the series as it will be decided by Showtime and there could be a possibility of Season 9.

Without any doubt, Dexter season 7 finale was one of the best and most intense series finale ever and had views of 2.75 million at 9/8c which is the most watched episode of any series on Showtime.

It appears that Dexter is going to be caught eventually. In the preview, LaGuerta seemed to be handcuffing and hauling Dexter behind the bars, as she thinks him to be the Bay Harbor Butcher.
